Gross and Surgical Anatomy of the Reproductive Tract of Selected Exotic Pet Mammals

Elective and therapeutic surgery of the reproductive tract of exotic pet mammals is common. Wide anatomical differences among exotic pet mammals make knowledge of comparative anatomy of the reproductive tract of critical importance. Indications for elective surgery include prevention of reproduction and undesirable reproductive behaviors, as well as disease prevention.
